S2S conversion tracking with AppsFlyer

Agency accounts

In order to correctly attribute traffic, agency accounts must be whitelisted by Taboola.

Overview

If you are using Appsflyer as your MMP (Mobile Measurement Partner), you can pass conversions to Taboola using server to server conversion tracking.

2 flows are supported:

  1. Direct to App
  2. Web to App

Direct to App

When using this flow, your ads link to the App Store/Play Store (via AppsFlyer).

Pros:

  • Fairly simple to set up.

Cons:

  • Provides limited scope for conveying your campaign message (because the user lands directly in the App Store/Play Store).

Web to App

When using this flow, your ads contain a link to a custom Landing Page. The CTAs within that page link to the App Store/Play Store (via AppsFlyer)

Pros:

  • You can convey your message to increase your users’ understanding of your product/ service via a custom Landing Page before they download the app. This typically results in higher conversion rates.

Cons:

  • More complex to set up.
