Deleting a creative stops all of its ads

Every ad created from the creative is stopped, in every campaign it is assigned to, and stops serving immediately. This cannot be undone. Reporting data for the ads is preserved. To keep some ads running, duplicate the creative and reassign the copy before deleting. See Deleting a creative.

📘

Guidelines

  1. For all purposes, the creative is deleted. Reading, updating or assigning it afterwards fails: Get a creative returns 404 Not Found. Deleted creatives are listed only by Get all creatives with statuses=TERMINATED.
  2. Deleting a previously deleted creative (status = TERMINATED) returns 404 Not Found.
  3. To stop a single ad without touching the creative, delete the ad with Delete a campaign item instead. See Assigning creatives to campaigns.
