# Dimensions Overview

When running the Campaigns Summary *report*, you *must* specify a *dimension* (passed as a *path param*).

A dimension determines how data is aggregated. For example, you might choose the `platform_breakdown` dimension, to see data aggregated *per-platform* - or the `day` dimension, to see data aggregated *per-day*.

Your choice of dimension also impacts the following:

* [Dimension columns](https://developers.taboola.com/backstage-api/docs/dimension-specific-columns) that are present in the *response*.
